my weekend

yah yah, i did not blog what did i do last weekend, didn't i?

well, no pics at the moment, probably later hoho~ :)

meanwhile, this week is a week in infectious attachment for 4 days, and free on Friday. :) yippie!

guess what? fat boy also having a day off on Friday but exam on Sunday *aww* so we decided to hang out on Friday instead.

going out on Friday is really nice! less jam, more parking spaces, and no long queues in Cathay!

we went to Tony Roma (we had wanted to go to Tony Roma quite some time, but didn't get to). Aha, now noone is going to stop us. *evil laughs* especially they have this set lunch offer thingy during the weekdays. Isn't that great? i mean everyone is doing the same thing by offering cheaper set meals compare to ala carte. 

yeah, thanks to the econ crisis hoho~! =)

we ordered Mojo chicken and Roma's Burger. and we were served with the appetizer, which is "Soup of the Day". 

zomg zomg zomg. this is absolutely something to die for! The soup is absolutely appetizing and delicious! Not to mention how tender is the beef meat inside. And oh, not forgetting the crackers aside! nice!

Baguette served with garlic butter

Frankly speaking, our stomach were 1/2 filled after we had finished this and right before the main course. 

It may look small, in portion wise, but good gracious me. I swear the fries were so much that I ate till I feel like puking!

Yup. That is Mojo Chicken. 

oh gosh, this is way better than Carl's Jr. But we had made a mistake during the order where we had accidentally ordered medium well. =( where we intended to order medium rare. Anyway, it is still juicy and the burger-lovers love 'em! Its better than Carl's Jr in terms of taste, as well as worth-for-money wise. this menu set only cost you RM23.90 (tax not yet included), and you were served with Soup of the Day (which makes it MORE MORE MORE MORE worthwhile!) and bottomless drinks. 

Speaking of bottomless drinks, we usually get our glasses refilled no matter what because we're quite a drinker, heehee. 

but guess what? omg. we're too full this time that we rejected the waitress who wanted to refill our glasses! I'm so sorry about that! T__T I didn't mean to turn you down but we're so absofuckinglutely full! sorry, didn't mean to be rude but that's the perfect word to describe our fullness =P

we watched 2 movies this week (actually, 4 movies). 

1st one. Daybreaker.

This movie sucks. Kinda waste my time, and its a disgusting movie wtf. but definitely not as disgusting as District 9, but i still, don't like it anyhow. This movie talks about the human extinction in the future (year 2019 - gosh, its almost here -_-) where the world will be filled with vampires. Human extinct as vampires eat them. -_- lame, right. I think that it is lame. alright. enough said. =P

2nd one. How to Train a Dragon?

This is a happy movie! Love it! There's some similarities among this with the Meatball movie, but i love this one more! It is way better than the meatball one! I love the dragons! so cute! And the son turns out to be the hero scene, love that too! its better than the starring turned out to be the hero in meatball. Okay, this is confusing, but it is really great! i would want a dragon as my pet too. =(

3rd one. Edge of Darkness

We watched this at home. *yawns* It's actually quite a good movie I think, but I was in the midst of going-to-bed-mode. I wonder what's the ending like, but Mel Gibson died. End of story. This old man is still so yeng, huh? =P anyway, not sufficient yeng to keep me awake hoho.

4th one. Lovely Bones

I just watched it today, at home, and I cried! The storyline is realistic, and true. I mean on how they talk about crazy insane people aka Mr. Harvey. He'S CRAZY!!! omg. =( how could he do such thing towards young female teens. But i can't stand to watch the whole movie, I mean, i watched and I don't feel like watching, can't bear the thought of a female raped, murdered, and err.. I really wonder what he did with her limbs. :\ they said they were dismembered. But it was not shown, of course! 

I don't know what this movie is all about at first, but when i start watching, i wanted to know the whole thing so badly that i googled and I read the synopsis. hahahaha! brilliant! ya, i know. =D

Emo day.

the patient i was clerking today had just passed away (4.24pm). i was there, thinking of getting the BHT for some follow up after i had clerk it during the day. i saw everything, how they try to resuscitate the patient, when her BP is dropping drastically. I was walking in while I saw some Chineses (who are in the midst of 60-70) talking amongst themselves, i reckon is the patient's children. Yes you had heard me correctly. The patient is now 89 years old, and she's turning 90 years old in another 11 more days. Isn't that sad? or should I be happy because she is 89 years old!?

Why I was there when she passed away? i heard the children, or i supposed is the grandchildren (midst of 30-50), telling the doc, so even if you can successfully rescue her today, what about tomorrow and the day after? she will leave us anyhow. I heard that, I can't help but hot tears seem to be squeezing their way to my eyes.

some of them put their ears near to the granny's mouth, trying to make out what's her final wish, her will. then out of a sudden i saw them crying, few of them running from the lift, bursting into tears, all of them. The people in the ward abruptly remain silent, all you can hear is the weeping of the family members, the whole atmosphere was turned into a very grieving one. I can't help, I really can't help too. I can't control my tears, at all, and they started rolling down furiously.

A Long Weeeeeeek!!! =P

Its been ages since I had last blogged, hadn’t I? owh, no, had just blogged last week. Haha. =) but things happen, and its indeed a long week this week! But I guess next week will be a tougher week due to attachments and stuffs =( tell you what? I don’t like attachments. =(

There’s been a few activities we had this week, we had spent our afternoon with the kids in SMK Setapak Indah (which is obviously in Setapak) for our social pharmacy group. We went there as to promote this pharmacy career amongst the Form 4 and Form 5 Science students, yeah, just in case you know, they choose pharmacy in the future. =) Both kaeshih and I were in-charge of Community Pharmacy aspect and yes, the kids are cool =) I mean they gave really good responses to us, hahaha. I hope they get what we’re trying to portray.

And we get to show them BLS (Basic Life Support) which they requested earlier. Hehehe. Overall, we’re having much fun and we had McD together with the rest after we done with this =) and many thanks to the other group members who equally help us out in carrying out this event. =)

LOL. Breastfeeding-ChoonHo.

I’m involved in another Public Health project which is the “Wellness for Life” campaign in Kampung Orang Asli, which is just today >_< or precisely, a while ago. It’s sort of a charity work, and we’re glad we are there to help out the orang-orang kampung there. No pics in the meantime, but do check on my facebook, surely there’s a lot of pics coming up later.

Its really great when you see them smiling, their smile are so sincere, and of course, they are not proud at all, and they are so friendly that they enjoy talking to us. You can see from their eyes how happy they were to have us around, giving freebies and goodies and free checkups.

My weekend is already occupied since I’m not spending my time with Kenny today. We caught the movie “Alice in the Wonderland” 3D in Cineleisure with his friends. I would really love to watch it again, provided with subtitles, please. It is so difficult (for me) to listen what they are exactly speaking with their soooo British-slang e.g., Johnny Depp. And yeah, its in 3D and no subtitles available. Its quite nice, but for 3D, I still prefer Avatar, though the garden and the outdoor scenes are pretty nice in Alice in the Wonderland. Oh yeah~ I think I have to go Mid Valley once as they have the tea-party, the talking-flowers, and all kinds of décor on Alice in the Wonderland, I hope they still have them next week =( please?

We headed to Times Square, to shop! Of course! Hehe. Both Kenny and I made new glasses for ourselves, yeap, it is way more cheaper in Sungai Wang than other places like Focus Point! And guess what, =( my degrees had increased to 700+ for my left eye and 600+ for my right eye. I will need a different degree of contact lens for both of my eyes, ouch. =(

After walking around, we found this Japan food fair in Time Square. =D we never thought of buying anything since Japan food is so absolutely expensive! Nevertheless, we walked around since we had nowhere to go. Guess what? This is what we had gotten.

Nissin mee cup, Yan-yan snacks, and Hello Panda! =) so thrilled to buy them all! =)

We can’t wait, but tore open the Yan-yan and start munching away! Yahoo. =) make me think of the old days. Hee.

owh, now im getting a muscle ache due to the table tennis competition yesterday. it is a "hectic" day, if you would like me to describe it =P because I'm playing both women single and women doubles. And I would really want to complain on the retarded referee omg. He's such a moron, but I don't have the mood to blog it out. -_- Fyi, I'm suffering from a terrible cough since days ago, ahh! And it is getting worst Zomg. T_T

And, ahh, CUCMS got silver for both women single and women doubles. And I strived hard enough to get a gold, haha. trust me, the Gold medalists are really good!

Chap Goh Meh =P

It’s the weekend! =) too bad, Kenny has some kind of extra classes during the weekends, so I was forced to sacrifice my class outings  =( that’s a real excuse, alright.

It’s been a movie weekend I shall say. I had caught a couple of movies in this week, where it includes:

•           Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief (this is better than I expected I should say, far better. I was thinking it might turn out to be something like dragonball which is really sucked. But it’s not, not forget to mention there’s some funny scenes inside)

•           Little Big  Soldier (I never really like all these kinds of movie, even 14 blades, I am not really keen in watching but Kenny insisted so we’re going to watch it anyway but not this week. But this, of course, funny scenes are there too since Jackie Chan is there so well, yeah. But the ending really sad, really. This is another real good Chinese movie despite the fact that I hate Mandarin movies. Hehehehhee.)

•          Wolfman (this sucks man. The werewolf in moonlight is so much nicer and yeng-er. Bad one. Wasted my money, and homosapiens are not concentrating in it where they walk in and out in and out.)

•           Valentine’s Day (well not as good as what I had expected, too. But overall, it is way better than wolfman! There’s too many characters I think, that is why the changing of scenes are quick, and confusing where it turns out everybody is related hehe. Taylor Swift's role in this movie is really kaypohhhhhh. hehehhe. )

•           The Book of Eli (this movie started as something like viruses or something, ‘cos I hadn’t check what’s the synopsis is all about. But it turns out to be some post-apocalypse movies where there’s only 1 Bible left in the world. This is a really meaningful story, to me, where people wanted to retain the only one copy of Bible for some bad reasons. Eli…. Alright I shouldn’t be talking or telling. Probably you should just check the synopsis instead. But overall, it is also a good movie despite the boredom and confusion during the starting. Other than that, I was really touched and moved with the ending. Definitely worth watching)

We give a try on Paddington’s House of Pancakes since we’re out of idea where to have our dinner. So yeah, there we are.

We tried on Budapest and er, I don’t remember the names of the dish but here they are.

Nonetheless, the pancakes are really appetizing hehehe! (but in money-worth aspect, you probably don’t think so, ‘cos it looks like normal American breakfast LOL. But anyhow, the pancakes are really nice! =) worth trying, but probably not these dishes, again. Hehe. ‘cos the another dish looked like a dish I used to eat in ZhuHai where they have pancakes fried with egg and vegetables? where they have it for breakfast? Hehe yeah, its true. =P

and yea! their fajitos tasted so much better! even better than chilli's! hehe

Ikea is having a sale right now! And they have this new dish which is BBQ Chicken + Chips + Princess Cake + Mineral Water. We have this sudden cravings of ikea food and tada, here we are. We cannot make up choices and not really willing to share our portion of meatballs and chicken wings, here’s the results.

Hehe. I thought we cannot finish this whole lot, but at last we did. Yeay!

b.t.w., have you ever seen this signboard?

I think only like 10% of Malaysians actually see this sign, as those Malaysians I usually see, they don’t, they never clear their own tables. What they know how to do is to push away their finished meal to some other tables which is already filled with those finished food. And what they know is to call out for the waiter, and ask them to clear the table instead of clearing it themselves. Well, Kenny and I used to clear the table before us, and after (good one, huh. Keke. Give me some credits, please do) I don’t know about this actually, but my first time to Ikea, it is in Singapore, and the Singaporeans there they HAVE to clean their own table, and that’s how I have this habit too.

Well, do your own part from now on when you head to Ikea for their mouth-watering meal! =) afterall, everything is about Go Green in Ikea! Initiate it by starting from your own self! (okay, I’ll start to do my part from now on hoho~!)

p/s: but what the waiters are going to do if  they don’t clean the tables? Hmmm. =D

Chinese New Year! :)

Happy chinese new year!

Hehe. I am finally back here, and blog =P well I was kinda reluctant, or procrastinate will be a better word I guess. To blog, I mean. I had just done with my midterm exams and I am officially freed! Well, by now, at least. Teehee.

I really enjoyed my CNY this year way back in hometown. I met up with a lot of friends! My schedule was so packed that I had ffk a few friends (if you were one of them and you’re reading, do accept my apology awww! You should have known that I didn’t mean it! Hehe). As friends from far and near went back to hometown, I guess I gotta spend time with friends from abroad rather than friends who’re staying in SDK instead (sounds mean huh? But I have too! Talk about time management, hehe).

I got back to hometown on Friday, guess you had read the frustrating post (check after this post otherwise). Yup, kinda free that very night, and still free on Saturday as my sis had reached hometown too! =P and tada, I got my baby! My first LV =) Neverfull MM. welcome honey! Hee.

That very night we just stayed at home after having our reunion dinner. After that, bro n sis went out secretively to get dad’s birthday cake. Yeah, hehe, its my dad’s birthday! In the Chinese calendar, dad’s birthday is 年三十. Yep, a birthday every 4 years! Hee. They got home with a variety of cakes slices, including tiramisu, yogurt, yogurt lemon or something, chocolate, oreo, and peach I think. They are awesome! We had a really great night! And we went to bed early that very night as we have to got up real early the next day for church service at 7am! :D

CNY Day 1

Yeppie! I got up and get myself ready (in a realllll quickkkk motion!) we’re rebuting toilet for clean up, before saying “Gong Hei Fat Choi” to daddy and mommy, not forgetting my brother hehe!

As usual, we went to church service which started at 7am (yeah, I DO celebrate CNY though I am a Christian hehe). The service is in chinese, and the church is decorated with CNY décors such as ang paos, 对联, and some CNY plants. Father who served the mass gave the homily in Hakka, yea. And guess what, he mentioned that gambling is allowed! Haha, just remember to donate to church if we are to win some =P of course, it continues by blessing of the mandarin oranges, and giving out angpaos to the kids =) I missed out this year -.-“ ‘cos too many teenagers rebut with me. =( how mean.

Lion dance after church service, hehe. But I can’t get to watch the whole thing, as we’re heading to Sandakan Hotel for dim sum =) but I caught up with Valentina (curious how she got her name? her birthday is on Valentine’s Day which is that same day!)

We headed to Sepilok Resort (mom’s friend) as we have nowhere to go. *Sadly no angpao aaaaaaahhhhhh*

Lou sang during that very night! =) had a scrumptious meal inclusive of lobster with mee. Lol! (place: Sandakan famous Ocean King)

This follows by yumcha session with my sec-school friends and lami session later.

CNY Day 2

Wakey wakey! =) got up early too (er, around 12 due to late lami session). Pay a visit to my buddy’s place, and join my sec-school before heading to my relatives place.

Guess what? This year we all have a new toy heheh. Allow me to introduce my cousie’s daughter, Ching Ching.

She is really cute you know? U ask her to follow you to talk, she’ll do that. I ask her to call me leng lui, and she really will. Hehe, I pointed to my brother and ask Ching Ching, is he fat? She will then gladly answer, FAT. Hehe. She likes to play with babies, and my auntie taught her to say “快D叫妈咪生返一个来”. And she did scream to her mom! Lol.

Owh, not forgetting the beautiful pork. Gosh, it tasted so much better when you eat with ur hands right after it is chopped!

Lami session again at night T_T and I had ffk my gathering with my sec-school friends. Sobs. Nvm, I win money LOL. =)

CNY Day 3

My open house day! Got up, help cleaning the house a bit (a bit only, as I woke up late also hehe) and waited for my friends to reach.

Nothing much was done on Day 3, but went to a very nice yumcha place in Sandakan which is also known as Ba Lin or the rooftop café during the night with my sec-schoolmates. A few pics found online just to give you a brief idea how it looks like.

CNY Day 4

Met up with Wahap for lunch and met another friend which is coincidentally whom Wahap had dated. Er, very confusing, nevermind, nothing major. =P got home, drag Timothy my friend out for lami at home -_- its Ash Wednesday that very day, which is supposed to be fast and abstinence, lol. Okay, shush!

At night, I was invited to a gathering with all my primary school classmates! It is fun you know? My ex-classmate she took out her autograph, and we started to laugh at what we had written earlier on her autograph. I was the laughing stock  -_- and I cant believe I had written the following poem:

Wood is kayu,

Egg is telur,

When I tidur,

I remember you.

Omgawd. How lame it is. HAHAHAHA.
and now i was teased. :(

CNY Day 5 

The CNY mood started to dim as my sister returned to Singapore =( I join San and Michelle on their “jalan-jalan cari makan” trip. Hehe, we started off with ah soon chicken rice! Yummy! Must try in Sandakan =)

And we went to pharmacy (the pharmacy I used to work in), where San wanted to have her ears pierced. LOL. Her first time.

And I get to visit Michelle’s house! Really huge and nice! Wee. No pics, paiseh. But her Rottweiler really cute too! Hee.

We continue our makan journey in Mile 4 for Chicken wings! Must try item, orite? RM16 for 10s =)

I met up with Suet Ying in the night for girl’s talk session hehe, as usual, she’s my bestie! She brought me to this café who serves real nice Avocado juice!

Hehe. Can’t really get that in West I think, do let me know if you get to know any.

CNY Day 6

Happy day it is! Drag Timothy for egg-tarts! These egg tarts are something to die for!

p/s: timothy is my childhood friend where we used to play with each other since we were born! Teehee.

i know i am really cute that time when i was 4 years old. :)

Steamboat for dinner, and yumcha with Cyrus didi and Edwin before lami and supper session. Too lazy to describe, but overall, I am super happy on this day LOL. As I jumped from a gang of friend to another gang of friend non stop. =) not forgetting to mention that I had won some money on the lami session LOL.

 Another new yumcha place in Sandakan. =) kinda great.

And now I got my ass back to Cyberjaya. And exams over, but I cant fly back for lami. T_T
