It has been ages since I had last updated my blog! No, I am not abandoning this blog, hehe! Definitely Not!
It’s been a month since I had graduated. Honestly, I miss everything about school, the laughter, my lecturers, the lunch time, the dinner time, the pasar malam time, the fun we had after a huge assignment is done, the break we take, the time we spent in cafeteria (not that I miss their food though :\)
I still cannot believe that it’s totally over, now.
(No its not a jetlag for me, it’s a time-lag)
Kenny had got himself a job, and he’s working on shift :\ sad case huh? And tonight will be his first night working at night, again, after DHL. But the great thing is, (for his job right now), is that he only work for 7 days in 2 weeks. Do you actually get what I mean?
I’m no longer staying in Cyber, I got everything packed, and I got Kenny to go home with me! =) yes you heard me right, back to Sandakan! At the same time, he could help out a little bit in carrying my luggage.
I hope he enjoys the trip much. :\ because I did, Ha!
Guess what? I had this amazing meal in the plane, heheh. Will sure return for MAS again next time! Not to mention that their flight ticket is cheap! :D even the flight we’re in is not full at all! Cosy seatings with sufficient legrooms (for the long-legged-man, duh)
And yes, we were given some free gifts on boarding. It’s a gift written tadau kaamatan (which is also meant, er, happy harvest festivals!) I supposed, ha!
We visited Sepilok, which is also one of the largest orang utan rehabilitation centres erm, in SEA? Or what? No idea. Hehe. But do make sure you visit there whenever you are on your way to Sandakan.
I don’t usually get to see orang utans at a close distance. However, this time, I get to see them, very closely… very very closely. =)
Guess what? One of the orang utans came to us, and tried to snatch daddy’s handphone after dad took some pics of him. Guess the flash disturbs it, hehe.
He probably thought that we’re paparazzis. :\
The above picture of the orang utan is the culprit who tried to snatch daddy’s hp! Mom got shocked and tried to get rid of the orang utan!
Hm? I’m still wondering how its like to hold an orang utan’s hand. Hairy! :D I should have be the hero instead hehe.
I should have videoed the whole incident, but I am too dumbfounded to move when he attacked daddy, Sorry dad. :\
We usually get to see orang utans during feeding time. We were late, :\ and we didn’t mean to! But for goodness sake, all the orang utans are loitering at the human walkway aka the bridge. LOL. So it’s a good thing, we can get to see them in a closer distance, instead of watching it far away, trying to catch a glimpse of it!
You can tell huh? That we were really frightened to stand near the orang utan! We’re afraid that they will attack us! Thus the forced smile, wanting to get the picture captured ASAP. :D
Other than that, we visited Sabah Hotel (which is also the only luxurious 4-star-hotel in Sandakan). Its awesome, isn’t it? I used to have my piano examination in one of the ballrooms here. :\ and trust me, their air-con is friggin’ cold! It always make my palms sweat, additional with my nervousness, aw. :\
We too went to English Tea House, where they serve erm, English tea? :D
And the nearby Agnes Keith haunted house. Eeeeeeee!!!!
Nothing special in there anyway, but that house is indeed creepy… :\
I brought him to St Michael’s Church too! This church is the oldest church in Sandakan, with the age of 120 years old? =) the stained glass inside are terrific!
And guess what? They have this Time Capsule thing! Yes! Its like the one in the movie “Knowing” with Nicholas Cage in it! Creepy? Aye. :D
Bring him around for Lai-Lou-Fa, and the famous Egg-tarts. =)
A Sandakan trip is not exactly a Sandakan trip if you don’t pay a visit to The Crocodile Farm, ngek ngek ngek!
They rears a lot of crocodiles! And ostrich, and other creatures! The creature he loves most will be this one…
Yes! I still have no idea what this creature is known as, anyone? It is freaking cute! The way it stands up whenever we’re around, the way it screams and yelps? :\ do they yelp? Hahaha. Yes, and no one can stop Mr K from feeding them!
And ostrich! Eww! The hairless ostrich! Hahaha. It can’t stop “yapping” at me. :\
That Friday, we headed to Kor’s estate for a night stay, before we continue our journey to KK. We didn’t get to go much places in KK, due to the tight schedule, but Tanjung Aru beach, only. -_-
While on the way back, we stopped by Ranau where one of the places they provide Fish Spa. Ah-ha! This is no usual Fish Spa, alright? The usual one you get to see in other places, the fish are real small, which is less than 1 inch. But here? We’re so bewildered to see that huge fish!
O_O ZOMG. I was too frightened to put my feet in it! They even allow people to soak your whole body yiAKS!!!
It costs you RM5 for 15 minutes!
Basically the first 5 minutes is for you to be excited, jumping, yelling, testing the water temperature, yada yada.
Yes, I wasted that, I guess! Haha!
You can tell from the pic, I am still not all ready, yet! But daddy and mommy had been seated down for quite some time, enjoying the bites.
Despite of the hot weather and the hot sun without any shelter, its an awesome experience! :D
I brought baby to the rooftop café during the last night, before we left for KL. He seems to like the ambience there :)
<3 you loads, baby. Thanks for everything.
